Boost Your Low Testosterone

Boost your low testosterone

After the age of around 30 most men experience a gradual decline in testosterone levels. Sometimes it may result in clinically low testosterone levels. However, there are several ways to boost your testosterone low level and throughout this website we will show you exactly what you need to do!

In fact, it is estimated that testosterone levels may fall at the rate of 1-2% per year, resulting in 20-30% of males over the age of 60 being considered hypogonadal [1].

Hypogonadism is generally identified by a total testosterone level between 6.9 nmol/L and 8.7 nmol/L in conjunction with a range of symptoms such as erectile dysfunction, low libido, fatigue, depression, difficulty concentrating, irritability, and insomnia [2].

However, some of these symptoms are not specific and may be related to other health conditions. Moreover, when a low testosterone level occurs in conjunction with the aforementioned symptoms in males over 40 years of age, it is referred to as late-onset hypogonadism (LOH). It is sometimes also referred to as partial androgen deficiency of the ageing male (PADAM) [3].

‘Andropause’ and ‘male menopause’ are also used to describe the process. However, these aren’t suitable terms considering the fact that men experience a gradual hormonal decline compared to women whose hormonal decline is more acute [4].

Low testosterone is a major problem for ageing men simply because it is associated with an increased risk of morbidity (disease) and mortality (death) [5,6,7,8].

Despite this, there are several steps you can take in order to boost your low testosterone levels if you experience it, or prevent the decline in your testosterone levels in the first place.

Furthermore, all this may be done without relying on testosterone supplementation therapy (TST) (also known as testosterone replacement therapy-TRT) if you would prefer natural options.

Support for overcoming your low testosteroneMany of the strategies featured throughout this website involve lifestyle change. Therefore, if you’re willing to make some changes to your lifestyle then you can rest assured you will be able to boost your testosterone levels, resulting in an improved quality of life!
